MILAN SCOOP

WHO’S WOOING WOODY? Everybody in Milan, it seems, wants to have lunch with Woody Allen, in town with his New Orleans jazz band. Krizia has booked him on Wednesday and the Fendi sisters have invited him over too. But when it came to Versace, apparently it was Woody doing the wooing. Woody and Gianni are scheduled for a tEte-e-tEte in Versace’s Via Gesu apartments, and according to a Versace aide, it was the director who approached the designer this time. Perhaps he wants to book him for his next film?

PRADA’S ABOUT-FACE: Imagine showing up for Prada on Thursday and discovering that the collection coming down the runway was Miu Miu instead. Sound impossible? Don’t underestimate Miuccia Prada and Patrizio Bertelli, who were actually planning a last-minute switch — showing Miu Miu in Milan and Prada in New York — to keep the fashion flock on its toes. “We thought about it for about an hour,” admitted a Prada spokeswoman. “Everybody seems to be taking their second lines to New York, so Bertelli said, ‘Why don’t we go there with our first line?”‘ The Camera della Moda wasn’t so hot on the idea, and an hour later the whole concept was scrapped — but then, there’s always next season.
