Sandra Bullock did a little pre-Golden Globe shopping last week at the Diego Della Valle store on New York’s Madison Avenue. The actress, who’s been nominated for her role in “While You Were Sleeping,” picked up a pair of black satin sandals with black beading to go with the sleek Calvin Klein dress she’ll wear to Sunday night’s awards show. She also grabbed a pair of white patent loafers to go with the black Calvin Klein suit she’ll don for TV appearances to promote the movie “Two If by Sea.” Her boyfriend, Don Padilla, wasn’t just hanging around. He brought a pair of black patent J.P. Tod’s.
When Robert Isabell is presented with a special award at the Feb. 12 CFDA Award dinner at Lincoln Center, expect the unexpected. The much heralded party creator won’t be the subject of a short film documentary like the rest of the evening’s honorees. Instead, Isabell will create a “special moment” on stage.
Now that he’s got his sons up and running at their new midtown Manhattan eatery, Circo, Le Cirque’s Sirio Maccioni has yet a third project. He’s building a $10 million restaurant adjacent to the Palace Hotel that is scheduled to be up and running in November. And despite rumors to the contrary, Maccioni is not moving Le Cirque from the Mayfair.
