PARIS — Veronique Berthon, director of international marketing development for three of L’Oreal’s consumer product brands, died on Feb. 22 after a lengthy illness. She was 46.
Berthon spent 15 years at L’Oreal, including six at Lancome, where she headed the international marketing department. In that post, she was responsible for marketing some of Lancome’s most successful products, including Tresor, Rouge Absolu lipstick, and Renergie and the Bienfait Total skin care line. Last fall, she transferred from Lancome to the consumer products division, where she was responsible for L’Oreal Parfumerie, Laboratoires Garnier and Gemey in major European markets.
Berthon is survived by her husband.
