NEW YORK — Dennis Newnham has been named president and chief executive officer of Tsumura International, succeeding Howard Hirsch, who was ousted earlier this month, according to Motohiko Tsumura, chairman. Tsumura, who previously said he was looking for both an acting president and a permanent president, said Newnham’s post is permanent. But he declined to be more specific about the appointment.
Newnham was president and ceo of Adirondack Beverages of Scotia, N.Y., and was responsible for overseeing the divestiture of the firm, according to sources. Newnham couldn’t be reached for comment.
Tsumura International — which manufactures the Vitabath lines of bath products, Royal Copenhagen, Pierre Cardin and Bridges fragrances, home fragrances and children’s toiletries — is an independent subsidiary of the Japan-based Tsumura & Co.
