TEITELBAUM NAMED TO HEAD COMITE COLBERT
NEW YORK — Comite Colbert, the French luxury goods trade association, said Thursday that Alain Teitelbaum will become its president April 1.
He succeeds Christian Blanckaert, who became president of Hermes SA in January.
Teitelbaum has been president of Raychem France, a French division of the U.S. technology group, since 1982. Before that, he headed the Canadian subsidiary of Credit Lyonnais.
In a statement, Teitelbaum said he will focus on developing creativity and stepping up efforts to increase awareness of quality craftsmanship among young people.
