ROOM WITH A VIEW: The American Wool Council is sponsoring the WoolRoom, a yarn library featuring new products from U.S. and foreign mills, and seasonal trend forecasts. The WoolRoom is at the AWC’s New York offices at 40 Rockefeller Center.

MORE TOMMY NOMINEES: In addition to designers of apparel, home furnishings and over-the-counter fabrics, the 22nd annual Tommy Awards will honor creators of printed fabrics for personal accessories. The nominees are: Western Textile by Margarita Silva Cushing for Gloria Rae Travel Accessories by Gloria Archibald and Sandy Bixler; de Marco California Fabrics for Look from London by Michele Harper Taylor; Cranston Home Fashions division of Cranston Print Works by Nichole Chazaud for Liberty Umbrella; Concord House by Joan and Sharon Kessler for Teeter Toter by Pat Spratt, and Technographics Printworld by Gianni Cereda for Ferrara by Tony Ferrara. Nominees in the various women’s wear categories were published in these columns Nov. 19. The awards, to be presented Dec. 5 at a gala at the New York Public Library, will be presented for print designs in 13 categories.
