PRADA HEADS FOR UNION SQ. IN SAN FRANCISCO
LOS ANGELES — Prada has signed a lease to open a 1,300-square-foot boutique in San Francisco, at 134 Maiden Lane, a half-block west of Union Square, according to real estate broker David Blatteis, who handled the deal. A Prada spokesman in New York said an announcement on the store would be made after the Milan ready-to-wear shows are finished.
Chanel already operates on Maiden Lane. Jil Sander is expected to open on the street this year.
This month, Prada will open a 2,000-square-foot store in South Coast Plaza in Orange County, Calif. A licensed Prada store is on Brighton Way in Beverly Hills.
