NEDOROSTEK LEAVES JUDITH LEIBER
NEW YORK — Kathy Nedorostek has left her position as chief operating officer at luxury accessories firm Judith Leiber.
She joined Leiber in January 1994 in a newly created post after an eight-year career at Saks Fifth Avenue, where she held the position of divisional vice president for designer ready-to-wear and designer sportswear.
At that time, Judith Leiber said Nedorostek would be responsible for the firm’s impending expansion into retailing.
As reported, the firm plans to open its first store here this spring at 987 Madison Ave. between 76th and 77th Streets, adjacent to the Carlyle Hotel.
A company spokeswoman would not give a reason for Nedorostek’s departure, but said there are no plans to fill the position. Nedorostek could not be reached for comment.
The Judith Leiber firm, with annual volume in excess of $20 million, was acquired in March 1993 by British watch distributor, Time Products PLC.
