MEICHNER TO TAKE POST AS KMART VP
NEW YORK — Further overhauling its merchandising and sourcing operations, Kmart Corp. has named Teresa (Terri) Meichner a divisional vice president for lingerie, fashion accessories and hosiery, effective April 1.
She succeeds David Penrod, who was named divisional vice president of overseas offices and international administration. Meichner and Penrod report to William D. Underwood, senior vice president of vendor and product development and interim general merchandise manager.
For eight years, Meichner has been a merchandise manager for The Limited Inc.’s Lingerie Cacique division. She also worked for Montgomery Ward, The Gap and Van Heusen Retail Stores. Kmart on Friday also named Judith T. Rusch divisional vice president of systems development, a new post. She will be responsible for enhancing core merchandising systems, and reports to Donald E. Norman, senior vice president and chief information officer.
