KMART NAMES DAVIS ADVERTISING VP
NEW YORK — Kmart Corp. on Wednesday named Larry C. Davis, a Sears, Roebuck executive from 1965 to 1993, as vice president of advertising. Last year, Davis was a consultant with Young & Rubicam de Mexico, where he developed marketing strategies for Sears de Mexico. He reported to Warren Flick, who was ceo of Sears de Mexico before being named president, merchandising for U.S. Kmart stores, in December. After rising to national marketing manager at Sears, Davis became president of Anthony Sicari, a women’s manufacturer, in 1994. At Kmart, Davis is responsible for all advertising, and he reports to Kenneth W. Watson, executive vice president, marketing and product development.
Davis succeeds Gerald Habeck, who left in October.
