MISTY HARBOR TO INTRODUCE PVC COLLECTION
NEW YORK — Essex Manufacturing, which controls the Misty Harbor brand, will launch a new line of imitation leather coats for fall under the label L2 of Misty Harbor.
The coats are made of PVC with polyester fiberfill lining. Bill Baum, executive vice president of Essex, projects first-year sales of $1 million for the line, which is aimed at chain and department stores.
Average wholesale price for the eight-piece collection is $18.75.
The collection will be sold from the Essex showroom at 330 Fifth Ave., where the Misty Harbor rain slickers and umbrellas are housed. Essex licenses the Misty Harbor name to Amerex USA for active outerwear and rainwear.
