EBNER TO HEAD LENZING FIBERS
NEW YORK — E.F. (Ted) Ebner has joined Lenzing Fibers Corp. as president.
He succeeds Mikel Dodd as president of the Lowland, Tenn.-based rayon fiber producer.
Dodd will continue as chief executive officer and director of international operations for Lenzing fiber facilities in Indonesia and Brazil as well as the U.S. Ebner, who reports to Dodd, was most recently with the Hoechst Celanese Corp. as vice president and general manager of the North American PET Resin Group.
During his 25 years with Hoechst Celanese, he was also treasurer of international operations and president of Virginia Chemical, a specialty chemical unit.
Ebner will be responsible for day-to-day management of Lenzing Fibers, which supplies the North American markets and is the U.S. arm of Lenzing AG, Lenzing, Austria. Reporting to him will be Doug Noble, vice president of marketing and sales; Werner Gschaider, vice president of operations; Cal Bonawitz, vice president human resources; Dick Dufner, vice president of finance; and Tom Montgomery, director of quality development. Lenzing produces in excess of 550 million pounds of rayon staple annually.
