BLOOMINGDALE’S PROMOTES ZERNIK
NEW YORK — Bloomingdale’s has promoted Stephanie Zernik to operating vice president and divisional merchandise manager for intimate apparel, hosiery and socks.
She was operating vice president and divisional merchandise manager for dresses. A successor in that post has not been named.
Zernik succeeds Laurene Gandolfo, who was appointed operating vice president and divisional merchandise manager for domestics in December.
After joining Bloomingdale’s in 1985 as a department manager for dresses at the firm’s Stamford, Conn., store, Zernik held various buying positions in the dress and suit departments before being named operating vice president last April.
In her new post, she will report to Jim Gundell, senior vice president and general merchandise manager for intimate apparel, shoes and fashion accessories.
