ALBERTO’S SALLY BUYS BARNUM
NEW YORK — Sally Beauty Co., a subsidiary of Alberto-Culver Co., has acquired Barnum Beauty Supply of Cleveland, a distributor of professional beauty products representing Matrix, Redken and other lines in Ohio. In addition to its distribution business, Barnum operates 11 stores selling to beauty professionals. Price of the purchase was not disclosed.
Sally operates more than 1,500 Sally stores in the U.S., UK and Japan. It also owns Victory Beauty Supply, a full-service distributor in the Chicago market.
