NEW YORK — To bolster its private-label business, Henri Bendel has hired two more of Donna Karan International: Rozann Marci, named design director, and Evan Druker, director of product development. The posts are new.
Bendel president Ted Marlow said in a statement, “Rozann and Evan bring new talent to our product-development process, namely in proprietary design and production expertise. We are committed to developing businesses under the Henri Bendel brand name that answer our customers’ lifestyle needs.”
Bendel’s said it wanted to put a spark in its ready-to-wear, particularly its private-label lines, when it hired Angela Ahrendts, another key Karan player, on Aug. 5 to be vice president and general merchandise manager. Ahrendts is a former president of Donna Karan New York and Donna Karan Essentials. Marci and Druker report to her.
Marci, who joined Karan in 1989, was design director for Donna Karan Signature. Prior to that, she was design director for Donna Karan Collection. Marci also was design for Donna Karan Collection licenees, overseeing Donna Karan hosiery by Hanes and Donna Karan intimates by Wacoal.
Druker, who spent five years at Karan, was vice president of merchandising. Before that, he was production director.
Their successors have not yet been named.
