NEW YORK — A hearing scheduled for Tuesday to approve the disclosure statement of The Leslie Fay Cos. was postponed due to inclement weather, a bankruptcy court clerk said.
The hearing is rescheduled for Thursday, but a Leslie Fay spokesman said the company will seek to adjourn the hearing until “mid-January.” The spokesman explained that the women’s apparel maker “still has some work to do” on the disclosure statement.
The statement is to contain detailed financial projections for the company and provides the outline for a plan of reorganization.
The spokesman said that on Thursday Leslie Fay will ask for an extension of its exclusivity period through confirmation of a reorganization plan.
