FREYTAG QUITS NEIMAN’S TO JOIN CATALOGER
DALLAS — Leslie Freytag has resigned as vice president and divisional merchandise manager for intimate apparel and hosiery at Neiman Marcus to join a cataloger in Medford, Ore.
Freytag, who has been with Neiman’s since 1973, next month will become vice president of merchandise and marketing at Jackson & Perkins, a rose and garden catalog that is a division of Bear Creek Corp. Bear Creek also publishes the Harry & David fruit catalog and Northwest Passages apparel catalog.
“It was a terrific opportunity,” said Freytag, noting she was enthusiastic about both the job and about relocating her family to the mountainous environment of Oregon.
Neiman Marcus is seeking a successor for Freytag.
Freytag, whose resignation is effective at the end of the month, started at Neiman’s as a sales associate, moved into the executive training program and rose through various posts to her current position in May 1992.
