TRADE GROUP SEMINAR SET
NEW YORK — Industry executives will be on hand Jan. 11 at the Accessories Council’s first educational seminar.
The morning event, starting at 8, is “Beyond Minimalism: The Future of Accessories.” Scheduled speakers are Carolee Friedlander, president of fashion jewelry firm Carolee Designs; Liz Conover, president of handbag and leather goods company Lopez-Cambil Ltd., which produces the Paloma Picasso handbag line, and David Wolfe, creative director of retail buying service The Doneger Group.
The program will be hosted by WWD and will be held at Fairchild Publications, 7 West 34th St., here, on the fifth floor. The cost for members of the Accessories Council is $20; for nonmembers, $25.
The Accessories Council trade organization was formed last February to unify the industry and promote accessories to the fashion trade and the public.
