REALTOR SAYS LEASE SUBMITTED FOR DKNY ON MADISON AVENUE
NEW YORK — The DKNY world flagship on Madison Avenue and 60th Street may be one step closer to becoming a reality.
Last month, Stephen Ruzow, president and chief operating officer of The Donna Karan Co., confirmed that the company was negotiating for a space at 655 Madison Ave.
Jerome Cohen, a general partner in the property, said Wednesday that his company has drawn a lease for a 30,000-square-foot space at 655 Madison Ave. and submitted it to Donna Karan.
“We have not commenced any discussion of the terms of the lease because we are at a very preliminary stage,” added Cohen, who is chairman of Williams Real Estate Co. “In a lease of this magnitude it usually takes a number of months [to settle everything].”
Reached on Wednesday, Ruzow said, “Everything stands the same.”
