NEW YORK — Fernando Sanchez is launching a secondary innerwear collection with prices dramatically below those in his designer line.
To be known as Sanchez Too by Fernando Sanchez, the line will debut at the March 13-17 innerwear market here for fall and holiday retailing.
Wholesale prices will start at $25 for a short sleep gown and go to $55 for a long wrap robe. By comparison, wholesale prices for the Fernando Sanchez signature line of at-homewear start at $65 for a short sleep gown of heavier-weight brushed-back satin and go to $349 for a long, quilted wrap robe of brushed-back satin. Silk and brocade robes wholesale between $1,200 and $1,400.
Distribution is aimed at department and specialty stores.
There will be a group for fall, and one for holiday. Each will feature approximately 10 softly tailored styles. Silhouettes will include long and short sleep gowns and matching robes; pajama sets, and a button-front, long-sleeve dressing gown styled like a shirt.
A spokesman for the company described the new collection as “clothes that should be a lot of fun to lounge in.”
Fabrics will include solid brushed-back satin of cotton, polyester and nylon. Colors for fall will include lilac, pink and blue. Colors for holiday will include ruby, emerald and black.
