NEW YORK — Private services for William H. Perry Jr., 69, a veteran women’s apparel industry executive, will be held today at the Westside Presbyterian Church in Ridgewood, N.J.
Perry died Saturday from an aneurysm at Valley Hospital in Ridgewood, according to his son Timothy.
In 1989, Perry, who was active in the industry for more than 40 years, retired as chairman and chief executive officer of Booth Bay Ltd., then a division of the Marcade Corp., now known as Aris Industries. Prior to that, he was president of Marlene Industries, another division of the Marcade Corp.
Earlier in his career, Perry was president of Cos Cob, a sportswear division of Oxford Industries.
Two of Perry’s sons are also executives in the industry. Timothy is vice president of sales for Jack Mulqueen, and William 3rd is chief financial officer for Next Day Apparel Co., a division of Leslie Fay.
Also surviving are Perry’s wife, Neilla; another son, C. Christopher; a brother, Todd, and a sister, Katherine Perry.
