NEW YORK — Services for Carl Schlossberg, 72, a retired dress manufacturer, were held Tuesday in Miami.
He died Sunday of cancer in a Miami hospital, according to his nephew Marty Schlossberg.
Schlossberg was prominent in the moderate junior dress field, operating Carlette Juniors from 1958 to 1980, closing the business with his retirement. He then relocated to Miami, where he continued active as a consultant to manufacturers.
Schlossberg is survived by his wife, Annette, and a son, Barry. His nephew Marty is a specialty store retailer on Long Island, operating Estelle’s, and Marty’s son, Glenn Schlossberg, owns Jump Apparel, a junior apparel company here.
