PIVOT BOARD EXPANDS: To help forge a stronger partnership with its retail accounts, Pivot Rules, a four-year-old golf apparel firm based in New York, has added two former executives from Brooks Brothers and R.H. Macy & Co. to its board of directors.
They are William Roberti, president and chief executive officer of Brooks Brothers from 1987-94, and Mark Handler, who retired in 1994 as co-chairman of R.H. Macy after serving as president from 1980 to 1992. The other directors are Fred Rosenfeld, president of Jockey Sportswear, Ken Seiff, Pivot Rules’ ceo, and Martin Miller, president and owner of Baxter Inc., a men’s shirt company.
In another move, Pivot Rules said it acquired the shares of its initial investors, which represent one-third of the business. The company would not disclose the purchase amount. The firm said the investors sold the shares for personal reasons.
