GOODMAN GETS ADDITIONAL TITLE AT CALIFORNIA IVY
NEW YORK — Peter A. Goodman, president and chief executive officer of Goodman Knitting, a division of Kellwood Co., has added the titles of chairman and chief executive officer of California Ivy, one of the company’s contemporary misses’ divisions.
Goodman, who will continue to report to Hal J. Upbin, president and chief operating officer of the St. Louis-based Kellwood, will travel between Los Angeles, where California Ivy is based, and Brockton, Mass., home of Goodman Knitting. Goodman Knitting’s main label is Northern Isles.
Goodman, who has 20 years of experience in marketing, sourcing and merchandising, succeeds Leo Chu, who was president of the Goodman Knitting division. Company officials said he left the company, but would not elaborate.
Monice A. Kostelnick was named vice president for design and merchandising for California Ivy, a new post. Kostelnick was director of design and merchandising since 1983.
