ROUGH AND TUMBLE: It’s been a bumpy week for the Chambre Syndicale. On Friday, Chambre president Jacques Mouclier was refused entry to John Galliano’s show. “There was a bit of pushing and shoving at the entrance, and I had no intention of getting a good suit ripped,” Mouclier said. The next day, Chambre spokeswoman Denise Dubois stumbled and collapsed on her way into Issey Miyake and had to be escorted from the show.
HIGH TEA: You think it’s only the teams from Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar who get invited chez Karl? Today, a group of editors from local American newspapers, including the Cleveland Plain Dealer, have been summoned for tea with Karl Lagerfeld. More than 15 journalists will be passing through the double doors of Karl’s 18th-century hotel particulier, sweeping up the grand staircase, and sitting down for an audience with the designer.
