NEW YORK — DuPont, Symphony Fabrics Corp., Texollini and Ge-Ray Fabrics top the list of 26 first-time exhibitors at the International Fashion Fabric Exhibition slated for March 20-22 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center here. Although registration is not yet complete, as of Friday, 425 exhibitors were scheduled to show their fabrics, trimmings and services. The most recent IFFE, held in October, had 345 exhibitors.
“Taking into consideration that before we started the show, the biggest textile event in New York — the New York Fabric Show — at its peak had 225 booths, we feel we’ve come a long way in a very short time period,” said Jonathan Larkin, president of The Larkin Group, the show’s sponsor. The March event will mark the seventh edition of the twice-yearly IFFE.
In addition, Tandler Textile is returning to the IFFE following a one-show absence. Several companies are also expanding the size of their booths, including Pressman-Gutman, which is doubling its space; Milliken & Co. and Majestic, which are both increasing the size of their areas by 50 percent, and Cranston Print Works Co., which is expanding the size of its booth by about 40 percent, Larkin said.
The space for the trimmings marketplace and the CAD/CAM area have each grown by 20 percent.
