RABAIN TAPPED FOR MASS POST IN L’OREAL SHIFTS
PARIS — The L’Oreal Group has made a round of appointments, including the promotion of Patrick Rabain to assistant managing director in charge of international development for the Public Products division, which is primarily the mass market business.
Rabain will report to Gerard Chouraqui, L’Oreal’s second-in-command behind Lindsay Owen-Jones, chairman and chief executive officer.
Previously, Rabain was managing director for France for the division.
He will be succeeded by Thierry Prevot, former managing director of the LaScad division.
In a separate move, L’Oreal has reorganized its European regions for the mass market division, creating eight zones rather than the previous seven.
Thierry Paternot, who formerly was head of the German mass market business, will become director of Southern and Eastern European countries at Public Products, a new post. The changes are effective immediately, according to a spokeswoman.
