TITSWORTH QUITS AS JANTZEN PRESIDENT
NEW YORK — VF Corp. said Thursday that Jay Titsworth, president of its Jantzen division, has resigned. Succeeding him is Larry Miller, who has been promoted from vice president, Jantzen business planning, to executive vice president.
A VF spokeswoman said Titsworth’s resignation, which occurred Wednesday, was “a mutual decision.” Titsworth could not be reached for comment.
In his expanded responsibilities, Miller, 45, will continue to focus on the continuing expansion of Jantzen women’s sportswear and swimwear. Miller will report to Gerard G. Johnson, finance vice president and chief financial officer of VF.
Titsworth had reported to Mackey J. McDonald, VF’s president and chief operating officer.
For the time being, the title of president at Jantzen will not be used.
Titsworth first joined Jantzen in 1974 and moved over to VF’s outlet operations in 1988. In 1993, he returned to the Jantzen division as president.
Miller joined Jantzen in 1992 as controller and was promoted in 1993 to director, business planning, women’s swimwear. Prior to joining Jantzen, Miller held various positions with Kraft Foods.
