GILARDI RETURNS TO BENETTON
PONZANA VENETO, Italy — Carlo Gilardi has rejoined Benetton Group SpA as managing director.
He succeeds Aldo Palmeri, who, as reported, resigned last month as chief executive officer.
Gilardi worked at Benetton as general manager of finance and control from 1986 to 1988. Prior to returning to the Italian sportswear giant, Gilardi was chief executive finance manager for the Banca di Roma. Earlier in his career, the 52-year-old executive was with Banca d’Italia for 20 years, where he developed expertise in money markets, foreign exchange management and Italian foreign debt.
