SINKEL LEAVES CLAIBORNE
NEW YORK — Hank Sinkel, president of the corporate sales group-U.S. at Liz Claiborne Inc., has resigned.
A company spokeswoman said Sinkel left the company to “take some personal time off.” Sinkel, who could not be reached, joined Liz Claiborne in 1983 as sales manager of the dress division.
As president of corporate sales, a post he had held since December 1993, Sinkel acted as chief liaison with retailers and oversaw customer service, regional sales offices, service and staffing programs, outlet stores, off-price sales and licensing.
Previously, Sinkel has been president of the company’s largest business segment, its Liz Claiborne misses’ and petite sportswear, a position that is now held by Linda Larsen German.
The company spokeswoman said no successor has been named and the company is reviewing its options.
