NEW YORK — The fur industry has tapped fashion model Yasmeen Ghauri to appear in its 1994 national ad campaign. Well-recognized for her work with Escada, the 23-year-old model, who is known simply by her first name, wore mink, sable and fox for the fur industry campaign.
Photographer Mike Reinhardt shot the ad campaign this past weekend near the Seagram’s building on Park Avenue between East 52nd and East 53rd Streets. The ads will feature the model standing against the backdrop of a moonlit night, with the tag line, “Fur. More Than Any Other Fabric.” Set to run from October to December in major fashion magazines, the ads were funded by the Fur Information Council of America and Saga Furs of Scandinavia, as well as North American auction houses, retailers and manufacturers.
