PARIS — French designer Michel Klein is preparing to launch his third women’s fragrance in fall 1995.
Klein noted that a name has not yet been selected, but added that the fragrance may simply bear his signature.
He is working with Le Club des Createurs de Beaute, a mail-order company owned by L’Oreal SA and 3 Suisses, France’s number two direct marketing company.
In addition to his fragrances, Klein’s other businesses include his signature ready-to-wear collection and the sportier Klein d’Oeil line. He also is the designer for Guy Laroche.
Klein launched his first women’s scent, Double Jeu, with Le Club for its first catalog in 1987. The fragrance is no longer being marketed, Klein said.
Terre du Sud, Klein’s second scent, was launched in 1990 and it continues to be sold through the Le Club catalog. Terre du Sud is available in a 30-ml. eau de toilette for $26 (135 francs) and a 50-ml. spray for $34 (175 francs).
The Terre du Sud line includes a scented bath foam, priced at $16 (85 francs) for a 250-ml. bottle, and a 100-ml. spray deodorant for $11 (55 francs).
