VEZIRIS JOINS BLOOMINGDALE’S AS EXEC VP, STORE DIRECTOR
NEW YORK — Bloomingdale’s has named Anthony Veziris executive vice president, director of stores. He succeeds Susan Kronick, who was named president of Rich’s earlier this year.
Veziris had been president and chief executive officer of Steinbach Department Stores until Nov. 1, when its parent, American Retail Group, sold Steinbach’s to an organization formed by members of the Schottenstein family.
At Bloomingdale’s, Veziris will be responsible for all merchandising, operations, credit and customer service, merchandise presentation and store design. He reports to Michael Gould, chairman, and Jeffrey Sherman, president.
Prior to his position with Steinbach’s, Veziris worked for 16 years at Abraham & Straus, where he was executive vice president of marketing and communication.
Steinbach’s has not named his successor.
