NEW YORK — Home Shopping Network has named Brian Kaminer senior vice president of product integrity, a new post created to expand the firm’s private-label business. Kaminer, who held a similar post at Lands’ End, will be responsible for product development, design and quality assurance at HSN. He will also be responsible for strengthening HSN’s merchandise in terms of value and will oversee the purchasing of softlines and cosmetics.
Kaminer reports to David Dyer, HSN’s new chief operating officer, who was hired in August.
Dyer, formerly vice chairman of merchandising of Lands’ End, has begun assembling the team that will help him build HSN’s private-label brands. Dyer has said he hopes to have his team in place by January or February.
As vice president of brand integrity at Lands’ End, Kaminer established an internal design, art and graphics department and created direct import programs with offshore sourcing in Asia. Prior to that, Kaminer was vice president of merchandising for Nautica International.
