The latest “must-see” in Paris is the new Australian film “The Marriage of Muriel,” directed by P.J. Hogan. Set in Porpoise Spit, a fictional seaside resort, the film chronicles the adventures of a marriage-mad character named Muriel who, when she isn’t endlessly trying on wedding dresses, is listening to Abba. Jean Paul Gaultier has been advising his friends to see it, and some Parisians want to set up a “Muriel Mania” club, where the code word would be “marriage.”
