SIDNEY WEINBERG LEAVES SHAMASH
NEW YORK — Sidney Weinberg, chairman of international silk fabric producer S. Shamash & Sons, said Tuesday he is leaving the firm, effective Nov. 18, and will join printed fabric converter Nuance Textiles in an as yet unspecified capacity.
Ralph Annibale, one of Nuance’s three partners, said the details of Weinberg’s duties are still being formulated.
Weinberg, who joined Shamash in 1978 as vice president, took over the chairman’s post in 1990, following the death of Jack Shamash.
Jeffrey White, president of Shamash, said he will assume Weinberg’s chairman’s duties, but not the title.
