CALVIN KLEIN HOME NAMES VP
NEW YORK — Barbara Deichman has been named vice president of Calvin Klein Home Inc., the company that is producing the line of Calvin Klein home furnishings.
This is a new post, and the first appointment made by Gabriella Forte, who took over as president of Calvin Klein this month. Deichman will report to Forte. Her responsibilities include developing and merchandising the new line, scheduled to debut next fall.
Before joining Calvin Klein, Deichman ran her own consulting company, Barbara Deichman Thompson Ltd. Before that, she was the design director for Habitat Group.
Calvin Klein Home Inc. is a wholly owned subsidiary of Home Innovations Inc. While the firm has declined to state a first-year sales goal for the new business, Robert Fotsch, president and chief executive officer of HII, has said he hopes it will be in the neighborhood of Ralph Lauren’s home line. That business is about $100 million, according to industry sources.
The new collection will include sheets, towels, silverware, glassware, dinnerware, furniture, gift and accessory products and other accents for the home.
