NEW YORK — What exactly does a cowboy, or cowgirl, for that matter, do in the big city? Like John Voight’s naive wannabe hustler Joe Buck in the 1969 film “Midnight Cowboy,” they seek fame and fortune — for better or worse. These days, though, they have one thing working in their favor that Buck didn’t: Western styles don’t look that out of place in the urban jungle anymore.
