DUWOP’S NEW BEAT: Cosmetics company Duwop, known for its infamous Lip Venom and I Gels, is thinking of summer already as it introduces new shades from its Shades of Venom lipstick collection and a tinted body moisturizer called Revolotion. Shades of Venom lipstick now include Azalea, a light shimmery pink; Larkspur, a pale wine and Sassafras, a peach shade. The nine lipstick shades retail for $15 each. Revolotion, which retails for $19, contains SPF 15 and a slight shimmer. It is available in three shades — light, medium and dark. Both products make their debut this month.
WAX ON: Red Flower, known for its exotic flower-based candles, is launching another scent into the fold — Japanese Peony. The collection already contains Indian Jasmine, Thai Honeysuckle, Egyptian Chamomile, North American Lilac, Chinese Marigold, Moroccan Rose, Italian Blood Orange and French Lavender. Japanese Peony, a pink candle with loose peony petals on top, will be available in a 6-oz. candle for $30 and a mini version for $12. The candles are available at Barney’s New York, at the Red Flower boutique at 13 Prince Street, as well as online at Redflowerworld.com.
LIP LIGHTS: Beauty newcomer Orrea Light is set to combine both color and comfort to lips with her Orrea Beaute line of Light On lipstick and lip gloss sets. The products, billed to provide all-day moisture to lips, contain ingredients rich in antioxidants such as prunus oil, tamanol oil and cranberry extract. Lipsticks, available in 12 shades, retail for $24 each. The lip gloss sets, in four color combinations, retail for $26. YOHJI’S NEW HOME: Gary Farn Ltd. has announced the acquisition of U.S. distribution of Yohji Yamamoto Parfums. The fragrances — manufactured by Proctor & Gamble and previously distributed by Jean Patou — include Yohji and Yohji Essential for women, as well as Yohji Homme for men. Allison Farn, president of Gary Farn Ltd. said distribution will be kept tight and exclusive.
TRES CHIC: Fragrances based on color is an angle perfumer Randi Green wanted to explore. Her fragrance collection, Mandara — Hindi for mystic flower — offers three hand-blended scents: Silver, a warm scent with amber and honeysuckle; Green, a fresh scent with notes of cut grass, English ivy and white musk, and Rose, a floral scent with notes of jasmine, magnolia, bitter orange and lotus blossom. Each 1.7-oz. bottle in the Mandara collection retails for $74 and can be found in select specialty stores such as Fred Segal Apothia in Santa Monica.
BODY BAJIK: The Body Shop is set to introduce a new spa line, Bajik Spa this month. The line, inspired by the spa practices in Indonesia, includes Tropical Flower Bath, Coconut Milk Shower Cream, Crushed Rice and Sugar Scrub, Clay and Herb Body Mud, Rich Body Cream and Moisturizing Body Spray. Products range from $16 to $24. The company has also revamped their sun care line. The updated line now contains Shea Self Tanning Lotion SPF 15, Shea Sun Protector Facial Stick SPF 30, Aloe & Chamomile Sun Protection Oil Free Face Lotion SPF 25, Aloe & Chamomile Sun Protection Body Lotion SPF 25, Sesame Oil Sun Protection Body Spray SPF 12, and Shea & Aloe After Sun Soothing Body Spray. Prices in the sun care line range from $12 to $15.
