WALTER PARKS ADDS TO ROLE AT WET SEAL
NEW YORK — Walter Parks, executive vice president and chief financial officer at The Wet Seal, has added the title of chief administrative officer.
In addition, Julie Petritsch was promoted to vice president and corporate controller. She has served as corporate controller since joining the firm in May 1999. Petritsch continues to report to Parks, and Parks will continue to report to Kathy Bronstein, chief executive officer. Parks adds store operations, human resources and legal to duties that previously included MIS, distribution, real estate and finance.
Parks joined the Foothill Ranch, Calif.-based specialty retailer of fashionable and contemporary apparel and accessory items in July 2001.
WS recently reported a 19.5 percent increase in its fourth-quarter profits to $15.3 million, or 74 cents a diluted share, on a sales gain of 2.8 percent, to $181.5 million, and a 7 percent comparable-store sales increase.
