NEW YORK — Warnaco Group’s October report card is in.
The bankrupt apparel manufacturer Monday reported a $19.7 million loss for the four weeks ended Nov. 3. The operating loss, excluding interest expense and reorganization costs, was $7.8 million.
A company operating under Chapter 11 is required to post monthly operating statements with the bankruptcy court. In this week’s report, Warnaco said sales for the four weeks were $113.6 million.
As reported, losses for the prior four weeks, ended Oct. 6, were $26 million on sales of $127.6 million. Monday’s monthly report was the second filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission since the firm sought Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection on June 11.
For the five months ended Nov. 3, the loss was $204.4 million on revenue of $572.9 million. Excluding interest expense and reorganization costs, the operating loss was $98 million.
