NEW YORK — Reebok International Ltd. has three new executives at the helm.
Martin Coles has joined the firm as executive vice president, global operating units; Jan Sharkansky has been named vice president, global product marketing, women’s; and Joseph O’Neil has been appointed vice president, global product marketing, men’s.
Coles will oversee Reebok’s operating units in North America, Latin America, Europe and Asia, filling the vacancy that was left following David Perdue’s promotion to president of Reebok in January 2001.
Most recently, Coles, who brings more than 24 years of experience to the job, served as senior vice president for Gateway, Inc. He also spent more than seven years at Nike, Inc., as executive vice president. He will begin his new post Jan. 7.
Sharkansky will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of strategies for women’s global product. She comes to Reebok from Prada, where she served as vice president of business development within its cosmetics division. Prior to joining Prada, Sharkansky was vice president of global communications-promotions for Calvin Klein Cosmetics.
“We’re excited to have people the caliber of these folks — they’ll add a lot of energy and enthusiasm to the organization,” said Dennis Baldwin, Reebok senior vice president, global product, adding that these hirings now complete the vacancies at the firm. Sharkansky and O’Neil assumed their positions at Reebok earlier this month.
