CFDA SETS DATE FOR 20TH AWARDS GALA
NEW YORK — The Council of Fashion Designers of America has set its American Fashion Awards for June 14 at 6 p.m. at Lincoln Center’s Avery Fisher Hall. This year will mark the 20th edition of the awards.
Nominees for this year’s awards, including women’s wear, men’s wear and accessories designers of the year, as well as for the Perry Ellis Awards for new talent, will be announced at a press conference on Tuesday.
Kevin Krier will return as producer for the event, while Fabien Baron will design its invitation and program. A spokesman for the awards added that Sandra Bernhard has also been approached about reprising her role as mistress of ceremonies, although her participation has not yet been confirmed.
