NEW YORK — Trends for spring will focus on giving the consumer novelty items — basics won’t cut it.
How that plays out differs by resource, with some offering embellished looks with lots of beading, while others are going the understated route.
Here’s a look at how a few companies will welcome spring:
Floral prints, asymmetrical dresses and novelty treatments will be key at Donna Ricco.
Jump Apparel/Onyx Nite is focusing on ballgowns, bias-cut dresses and embellishments.
Kasper suit highlights will feature white tuxedos with satin trim and colored jackets with black bottoms.
At Douglas Hannant, understated luxury is the theme in reworked suits, and suede pieces.
Nicole Miller’s key looks range from romantic special occasion dresses to “tough girl” camouflage dresses, skirts and pants.
At Donna Morgan, key looks include colorfully printed party dresses, and sweater and dress sets.
