J.LO IN DEAL FOR GIRLS’ LINE
NEW YORK — Hoping to expand the J.Lo brand to reach a wider audience, Jennifer Lopez’s Sweetface Fashion Co. has signed a licensing deal with Parigi Group Ltd. to produce, market and sell the new J.Lo Girls collection.
The line, which will look similar to the existing J.Lo collection, will target the fashion-conscious preteen. Retailing from $18 to $58, it will feature novelty sportswear products, as well as jeans, jackets and dresses.
As she does for all J.Lo products, Lopez will act as creative director for the new line. Plans are in the works for a March 2002 launch date, which will be placed in select better department and specialty stores nationwide.
