NEW YORK — Gerard Pichon-Varin, former president and chief executive officer of Boucheron USA, has resigned following the consolidation of the Boucheron fragrance business into YSL Beaute.
Pichon-Varin said Thursday that he had been offered a couple of other positions within Boucheron in Paris but he had decided that they were not right for him. His old position as ceo of Boucheron’s U.S. fragrance division had been eliminated in the merger.
Pichon-Varin said he is first returning to his native France, then looking for a new position. Pichon-Varin said he would like to return to the U.S. and find a position in the beauty or luxury goods industry.
He had been at Boucheron since January 1998. Previously, Pichon-Varin held top positions at Guerlain in France for nine years and also worked at Giorgio Beverly Hills and Roger et Gallet.
