RETAIL SPOTLIGHT
MERAV SIMON, CO-OWNER, VILLAGE WEAR, ATLANTA.

Where she shops:
“New York, Los Angeles, Las Vegas and Atlanta.”

Secret finds at AmericasMart:
“Portrait. It’s a really fun, body-conscious line with lots of unique prints and good price points.”

Tried-and-true lines:
“To the Max, French Connection T-shirts and collections, Free People knits, Buffalo Jeans, Portrait dresses, Liz Palacios jewelry, and Hype handbags in unique colors, shapes and leathers.”

Current bestsellers:
“Jeans are hot. BCBG does great, but Buffalo is one of our best-selling lines in general. Both sell like crazy. Liz Palasios jewelry does, too. Ruched tops, cropped pants, around-the-knee skirts, mohair knits, and leather and suede.”

Favorite showrooms:
“Michael and Paula Hyman and Ward & Ward.”

Her biggest challenge at the Mart:
“It’s a cliche, but the parking, [which] is fairly confusing. Even as much as we’ve been there, we still get turned around.”

Her March market agenda: “A lot of accessories like spring bags and jewelry, intimates, transition collections and fill-ins.”
