NORMAN SCHARTZ, TRIMMING EXEC
NEW YORK — Norman C. Schatz, the retired founder of a trimmings supplier bearing his name, died Sunday at Holy Redeemer Hospital in Meadowbrook, Pa., of complications related to pneumonia. He was 89.
According to Margie Litton, an executive assistant at Norman Schatz Co. USA Ltd., Schatz retired as president of the Bensalem, Pa.-based company in the early Nineties. He was succeeded as president by his son, Stanley Schatz, who continues to run the business.
The elder Schatz founded the company in 1929.
He is also survived by a daughter, Merle Lean, and seven grandchildren.
