NEW YORK — Kim Vernon will rejoin Calvin Klein Inc. as senior vice president of CRK Advertising, Klein’s in-house ad agency, a new post.
Vernon will be responsible for integrating global advertising operations and production, including media placement and Internet strategy, and collaborating on marketing strategy development for the Calvin Klein brands worldwide, namely Calvin Klein Collection, CK and CK Calvin Klein Jeans.
Vernon, who had been vice president of CRK from 1992 to 1996, will report to Harlan Bratcher, senior vice president of global marketing, when she starts Feb. 26.
Sydney Bachman continues in her role as senior vice president and global creative director of advertising and fashion. She is responsible for the creative direction of CRK Advertising and reports directly to Klein.
Vernon will have responsibility for print and broadcast media placement and budgeting development and the refinement of an Internet strategy. She will also be the liaison with licensees, marketing and public relations and will handle production management for advertising, promotion and collateral materials.
“It’s one of the world’s greatest brands,” said Vernon. “I look forward to collaborating on its continued expansion. Calvin himself is an inspiration to work with.”
Most recently, Vernon ran her own marketing and branding consultancy, The Vernon Co. Earlier, she was vice president of advertising and communications at Prada for two years.
