NEW YORK — Badgley Mishka is no stranger to Oscar’s red carpet. So it seems fitting that the company’s first ready-to-wear campaign should reflect that connection.
For its spring campaign, Ellen Von Unwerth shot documentary style photos to achieve a “behind-the-scenes at the Oscars” feeling. Art directed by Deborah Moses of Moses Media, the four page spreads feature models Amy Lemons, Jacquetta and Liisa Winkler, Erin O’Conner and Danita. The ads break in the March issue of Vogue and will run in the April “Hollywood” issue of Vanity Fair.
According to sources, the company will spend about $500,000 on the spring campaign.
The ads are in sync with Badgley Mishka’s spring collection that was inspired by the glamour and lifestyle of Southern California. The design duo opened their first freestanding store in Beverly Hills last September.
